The concept of numbers originated from the practice of human producing and living. The Chinese folks believe that the numbers contains good or bad luck. According to the psychology of Chinese people, they prefer even numbers to odd numbers for that the even numbers are more jubilant than the odd ones. So they choose even number day for wedding. The lucky numbers are one of the unique features in the Chinese culture.

The lucky numbers have long played an important role in the Chinese culture. It is said that there are 9999 rooms in the Forbidden City. In addition, when people choose dwelling houses, telephone numbers, even birthday, the lucky numbers are to be considered. The even numbers are more propitious than the odd ones. Two stands for harmony, six refers to kilter, nine means forever. However nine is the most jubilant number.
