Manting Dinner, Nanping

Manting dinner is a kind of fairy dinner with romantic color in Wuyishan region. Nowadays, the dinner regained its popularity in various Hotels located below Manting Peak. On the table there are ten local side dishes, such as Wuyi morning cold dish, preserved pumpkin, hot and sour shredded shoot, dried eggplant, salted brake tender leaves and smoked field dragon; the main courses are Wengong dish (to greet guests), Langu smoked goose, Pengzu delicious food, stewed snake and chicken and colorful shredded muntjac meat; local pastries are all made from pure-natural potherb, such as rat-bended dumpling, fairy bean curd and aweto; also white rice wine brewing for several years is served. While guests are having the delicious food with a melody singing the host just makes his guests drunk and they can not recognize the road to their home, they may possibly feel they were in the goddess mansion of Wuyi cave and fly to and fro like a fairy.
