Wuyi Mountain is known for its crystal water and Danxia landform. In Wuyi Mountain, tourists can not only enjoy the beautify scenery, but also feel the profound culture. It was cited as the first group of the outstanding tourist cities of China in 1998 and was listed on the World Nature Heritage Site List in 1999. The total area listed on the World Nature Heritage Site List is 999.75 square kilometers, making it the largest world natural heritage in China.


Wuyi Mountain, richly endowed by the precious and marvelous landscape, is the representative of the harmony of human and nature. It assembles sightseeing, vocations, and business trip into one whole with Danxia landform as its characteristic, natural mountains and waters as its main feature, and historical culture as its connotation. Furthermore, as the key region of World Biological Diversity Conservation, it is the habitat for many rare and endangered species and makes a big contribution as the sample of the procedure of biologic evolution and the correlation between human being and natural environment.
