Fotiaoqiang, Fuzhou

It is the primary dish of min recipe. It elaborately selects 18 ingredients such as trepang, dried scallop, abalone, shark fin, chicken nap, pig tendons, ham, duck meat, sheep elbow and pigeon egg, etc.(named as 18 luohan).the mouth of the jar is sealed by a lotus leaf and covered by a small bowl. Then simmer it on soft fire for several hours. Each ingredient penetrates one another , giving a multi flavor. It has the function of restoring vital energy and raising the blood, clearing the lungs and moisturizing the intestines, preventing the cold, etc.
