At present there are no railways in the Autonomous Prefecture of Gan’nan Tibetan Nationality. The only vehicle to the Autonomous Prefecture is to go there by bus. The 213th National Road goes through the Autonomous Prefecture, which is the most important transportation line for the area. A traveler usually needs to change his bus if he wants to visit scenic spots in the Autonomous Prefecture and he usually changes his bus in Lanzhou City, which is the capital of Gansu Province. he can change his bus in the South Bus Station of Lanzhou City and takes buses from Lanzhou to Chengdu City in Sichuan Province, Linxia County in Gansu Province, or Xiahe County and Hezuo City in the Autonomous Prefecture. There are about 260 kilometers from Lanzhou City to Xiahe County and the road is basically good. The travel will take a traveler from seven hours to nine hours. However, there are few direct buses from Lanzhou City to Xiahe County. A traveler can choose the following ways to visit its local scenic spots: one is to go there by a direct bus to Xiahe County and then to go to visit the Temple of Lableng. Another way is tha at first a traveler goes to Hezuo City by a direct bus and then begins his travel. Sometime it is necessary for a traveler to negotiate his terminal with the driver and ask a help from him.
