The most typical scenic spots of Bingling Temple Grotto in Yongjing County are stone statues, relief sculptures of Buddhist pagodas and Esoteric Buddhism paintings. Bingling Temple Grotto in Yongjing County, Mo Kao Grotto and Maijishan Mountain Grotto are the most famous three grottoes in Gansu Province.

Introductions of Bingling Temple Grotto in Yongjing County:

At the earliest time, Bingling Temple Grotto in Yongjing County was called as "Tangshu Temple". In the language of Qiang Ethnic Nation, this means "grotto of ghosts". Then, Bingling Temple Grotto was renamed as "Longxing Temple",  "Lingyan Temple". After the Yongle Years of Ming Dynasty, this temple again renamed as Bingling Temple according to the noun of "billion Buddies" in the language of Tibetan .

Bingling Temple Grotto in Yongjing County was divided into three parts, upper temple, grotto, and lower temple. These three parts are on the red sand on the both sides of Dashigou Ravine. The grottoes are ring and ring, plank roadway built along perpendicular rock-faces are wheeling.

Lower temple is the main part of Bingling Temple. It was built in the Western Qin Dynasty. Having experienced Northern Wei Dynasty, Western Wei Dynasty, Northern Zhou Dynasty, Sui Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty, the history of Bingling Temple reaches to 1,600 years.

There are 183 grottoes and nearly 800 statues in. States can be categorized into three categories, stone statues, unpainted clay statues, and clay statues. The area of frescos is about 900 square meters. 169 grottoes are in the same one cavern. This is the largest-scale grotto in Bingling Temple Grotto in Yongjing County.
