“Stone Dragon Cup” Dragon Boat Race (Boat Race in Dragon Boat Festival)

Time: the 5th day of the 5th lunar month

Place: Shilong (Stone Dragon)Town

Introduction: The two-day “Stone Dragon Cup” Dragon Boat Race is held in every Dragon Boat Festival at Jinsha Bay in Shilong Town in Dongguan. In addition to a number of traditional dragon boat teams and international standard dragon boat teams taking part in the race, there is also large a series of activities including evening party, fireworks display, extreme sports performance, Painting and Calligraphy Competition, exhibition of antiques in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and so on.
