It has jurisdiction over 3 counties (Jiedong County, Huilai County and Jiexi County) and 1 district (Rongcheng District). It’s also mandated to govern 1 county-level city-Puning City. It covers an area of 4,050,000 square kilometers. It has a population of more than 5,200,000 people. It’s the largest prefecture-level city with the longest history and the largest population in Guangdong Province.
