Qinghua Village in Xichang Town, Jiedong County teems with bamboo shoot. Because the land there is fertile and rich in all kinds of minerals, Huaqing bamboo shoot is big, crisp and sweet with few dregs. Whether it’s fried or used for making soup, it’s very delicious. Slicing fresh bamboo shoot and then drying off in the sun can make fresh bamboo shoot into dried bamboo shoot. It has the same color as amber. Huaqing bamboo shoot not only sells well in Chaoshan but also is very popular in Hong Kong .
