Owing to the tax-free policy, this street becomes a well-known shopping mall. The low-price quality merchandise gold jewelries and imported electrical appliance are both the foci of the tourists. Besides the gold jewelries, the food and daily necessities on Zhongying Street are a little cheaper than any other places. In recent years, the goods at the markets of hinterland become richer and richer, so the advantage of Zhongying Street declines. But there is still some merchandise whose price is cheaper in Zhongying Street.
If you want to go to Zhongying Street, no matter you are the residents of Shenzhen (except the residents of Shatoujiao) or you are the tourists, you need to apply for the privileged passport which is issued by Shenzhen Public Security Bureau. Although there is a sign on the Shenzhen half of the street which says "no beyond the boundary", the tourists still can go shopping in the other half of the street which belongs to Hong Kong .
