Luomei Lotus Cave

Introduction:

The Luozhu Lotus Cave is divided into two floors. The upper one, called Fossil Cave or Dry Cave, is unfolded like a narrow S-shape corridor from west to eat. It is 1000 meters long, 10 to 50 meters wide and 1.5 to 20 meters tall. The area of the cave bottom is 20350 square meters. The cave is once again divided into eight scenic spots, or 59 attractions. The view is mostly combined with various characteristics, wonderful and vivid. There are mountains and waterfalls, stelae, shielding curtains, birds and beasts, fishermen villages, old trees reaching the sky and high mountains covered with snow. All these views are just so amazing. Among them, the lotus pot and rock pearl and rock field are the most special. There are over 200 lotus pots inside the cave and totally more than 600 pots if including the pots inside lotus pots. The bigger lotus pots are located in the middle of the tunnel. The largest lotus pot, with a diameter of 9.4 meters, is called the King of Lotus Pots and is the largest in the world. What makes the view attractive is the perfect combination of lotus pots and stalactites. It, being so astonishing and unique, is unique both at home and abroad. Rock pearls can be seen in most places, both in and out of the lotus pots. The bigger ones shape like chestnuts, and the smaller ones shapes like beans. Most of them are round. Rock field are distributed in length and in breadth, winding continuously. The terraces on the slope are folding layer upon layer and climbing higher and higher. The cave walls along the border dam are winding and spreading, with charming and gentle view. The lower cave is the bank of a modern underground river, mostly spreading like in a multilevel zigzag. There are eight attractions in it. They are Underground Visit, the Path by the Fairy, Fair Boast, Winding Heaven, the Milky Way, Shining View, Girl's Hand Shaking and the Flowing River. The scenery inside the whole cave is unique and outstanding. And it is one of the few lotus cave view in the world.

Take a taxi which costs about 3 yuan (one-way) or take the bus to Yachang Forestry center which costs 1 yuan or take a tricycle which costs about 2 yuan.

Tips: (1) Tourists can purchase the set ticket to Dashiwei Great Cave here. The ticket costs 90 yuan per person. With the set ticket, tourists can get tickets for the Luomei lotus cave and the tea mountain over Heaven Reaching Pyramid for free. (2) Winter is a season with little water. So there is no water in most lotus flower pots. The landscape then is some what inferior to that in other seasons. During the rain-storm season the underground river can be seen. But the underground river inside the cave is not open to tourists currently.
