Fangchenggang adjoins Beibu Bay, 150 miles away from Haifang City of Vietnam, 800 miles away from Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, and about 500 miles away from Hong Kong . You can reach the near places: Guangxi , coastal areas of Guangdong, Hainan and the coastal areas of Vietnam or reach the farther places: Hong Kong, Macao, Japan and the Southeast Asian countries and regions, so Fangchenggang became a gateway to the southeastern Asia. There are many harbors here: Fangchenggang Harbor, Whitedragon Pearl Harbor, Dongxing Harbor, Jiangping Harbor, etc. which are all large-scale quays relying mainly on freight transportation and a little passenger boats leave for Xialong Bay of Vietnam.
