The Lisha Restaurant prepares dishes in the traditional Guilin school of Chinese cuisine. The dishes are known for their delicate flavors, tender without being greasy. Famous dishes include steamed mandarin fish from the Lijiang River, water chestnuts braised with what is known as "bamboo rats", red-cooked pangolin, Guilin-style fried taro roots, braised pork with litchi meat and taro roots, and roast suckling pig.
