Da Yao Village is also called Da Village. With a distance of 100km from
Guilin, located in the southeast of Longsheng County, Da Village is famous for its Red Yao Nationality’s culture and picturesque terraced field. Da Village is a natural village with a population of more than 2200. And People in Da Village are mostly Red Yao (a branch of Yao Nationality). At the village, you can see Red Yao lady wearing bright red dressing everywhere. They keep a very long shining hair, at least one meter. If you are interested in their hair, you can ask them to give you a long hair show. People in this village live in wooden house built in the middle of the hill.
At Da Village, you could appreciate the nature’s beauty at different season. In spring, the bright rice paddy full of irrigating water looks like the magic mirror, reflecting the fairy heaven on the land. In summer, the green rice waves make people swimming in a green ocean freely. In autumn, you will be surrounded by waves of golden rice, enjoying the happiness of big harvest. In winter, the terraced field in white snow becomes more vivid and charming.
Except beautiful scenery, you may try the local flavors, like the local chicken, ducks, sour fish and the local wine made by different kinds of fruit. If you like, you can live there for a few days just for relaxing.
