The Yiling Cave, also called "Gan Palace" in Zhuang language meaning a place as beautiful as a palace is named for its location in the Yiling village.  Yiliang Cave is a karst cave estimated to have formed a million years ago by geologists; it  looks like a whelk snail;. With so many beautifully shaped stone flowers, pillars, stalagmites and stalactites, visitors may find different sights at each step. Created with prodigious skill, sights in the cave are ever-changing scenery of rare beauty.

It is said that during the Kaixi and Jiading periods of the Southern Song dynasty(1205-1224), a monk called Zhou Shiqing built a Buddhist monastery and cultivated himself into a fairy. Yiling Cave is thus called the Fairy-Watching Cave by the later generation who built the Jian Xian Temple on the mountain top. Located in the Liangman Mountain, the cave was a section of underground which formed because of the movement of the earth's crust. After ten million years' dissolution, different kinds of stalactites, stalagmites, formed into thousands of shapes to create wonderful, amazing and mysterious views. The cave is 45 meters in depth and has an area of 24000sq.m, divided into three levels, winding and changing all the time.

Visitors can fully get the knowledge of the culture, history and folkway of Zhuang minority in the cultural Zhuang museum built at this scenic spot.
