City Introduction
Yulin City is located in the southeast of Guangxi Province and boasts of favorable geographic advantage. Yulin is the critical bridge and ligament which connects the east and west of China in economy as it abuts Guangdong and Hainan Provinces and facing Hong Kong and Macao SAR with southwestern China on its back. Yulin is one of the most significant passages connecting the inner southwest region to the sea and a national economical region opened up to the outside world. So Yulin has another good reputation as the metropolis of southern China. There’re seven counties and district under the administration of Yulin. They’re Yuzhou District, Fumian Administrative District, Beiliu City, Rong County, Luchuan County, Bobai County and Xingye County. The whole area of this region is 12,838 square kilometers with the population of over 580,000,000. Besides, Yulin city is the biggest overseas-Chinese district in Guangxi and is famous in China too. There are over 1000,000 overseas Chinese, foreign citizens of Chinese origins and fellowmen from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan living here which occupy more than 40 per cent of those in Guangxi Province.
Yulin is blessed with preferable natural conditions which provide it with abundant products and picturesque scenery. So it always enjoyed the name as the natural garden of southland. Today, there’re three tourism districts in Yulin which situated respectively on the east, the west and the south of the city.
