Between Guiyang City and Tongren City there are regular buses as well as bus sleepers. But going by bus sleeper is not recommended, for most of them are untidy.
There is almost no direct bus between Fenghuang Township of Hunan Province and Tongren City. If you want, you can take the passing Huaihua-Tongren bus at Fenghuang Township, which normally takes 2-3 hours and charges 25 yuan (RMB) per person.
