Tanggute Henbane, Guoluo

Tanggute Henbane, called “Tangchuan Nabao” in Tibetan language, whose cone-shaped or cylindrical root is strong and fleshy, is a perennial herbs plant of the family Solanaceae, with a height of 40 centimeters. Tanggute Henbane and its seed are medically used as anesthesia or analgesia by Tibetan doctors, curing malignant sores. The grinded powder of seeds can be stuffed in the teeth for curing toothache, but be careful when drinking. It is pharmacologically proved that Tanggute Henbane has convulsion-relieving and calming effect.
