Merry Ocean, a grand aquatic theme park in Haikou, is sure to impress visitors upon first sight. It is about 20,000 square meters, surrounded by various statues of ocean creatures and colorful fountains. One of the most popular parts of Merry Ocean is set up as a home to some 30,000 colorful tropical fish, spectacular creatures which draw crowds of visitors every day. Then there are 2 particularly entertainment areas. One is the Laser Water Screen Movie, and the other is the Pirate Ship and Treasure Island. The pirate ship is in the shape of a 19th century European sailing ship, equipped with model guns, cannons, and modern sound effects, all of which combine to simulate a mini ancient war.
There is also an amusement park where visitors can enjoy themselves with activities such as bungee jumping, slides, shaking board, manual railcars, and shooting games. A feature called Flying Man is especially exciting and challenging, in which a man is thrown into the air and swung like a pendulum. The most impressive building in the park is Millennium Tower which is 131.101 meters high, with a beautiful air garden and sightseeing platform.
When visitors get hungry, there is a great restaurant with full menu items. A theater, a spatial-temporal tube, and a “dream house” also add to the day’s fun. To the west of the Merry Ocean, there is a 350-meter Drifting River for enjoying a lazy afternoon. On the river, visitors can also experience the interesting “ancient tribe,” “fancy space cave,” “great waterfall,” and “dangerous shoal” theme areas sure to excite and delight.
Finally, there is a tropical rainforest area in the park as well, which is divided into 4 gardens. In the Tropical Tree Garden, visitors can appreciate many rare tropical trees, and in the Tropical Flower Garden, beautiful tropical flowers are on display. The Tropical Fruit Garden is where visitor can see and can even taste all kinds of tropical fruits, and everyone can stroll and take a good rest in the Tropical Rainforest Garden.
Other fine areas of Merry Ocean theme park well worth visiting include Ocean Flavor Village, Oceanic Park, the Shell Museum, and the Shark House.

Varity of colorful sea creatures. You can also enjoy sea wind, see beautiful sea view and hear waves on Talang bridge and man-made island. Sunshine ,waves and cool wind are in your reach on its beach.
In Hainan Tropical Ocean World you can surmount Millennium tower to overlook beautiful Haikou city; you can go to performance plaza to enjoy great song and dance shows; you can also see a high-tech water screen laser movies with splendid multi-media impressions.
I like the experience of walking on the beach, enjoying the lovely sunshine. It would be perfect if I can swim.

Hi, the night performance on the grand plaza is from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thus, if you want to watch it, you may stay there at least 3 hours.
