Jingniang Lake got its name from the legend that Emperor Taizu in Song Dynasty (1271-1368) Zhao Kuangyin saw Jingniang off and passed here. There is very beautiful scenery here, with broad and limpid lake surrounded by groups of hills. In the distance, mountains fluctuate, with steep and straight cliff, just like the natural beauty created by the fairy.
Here is also rich humanities scenery. The story that Zhao Kuangyin saw Jingning off took place in the Mendao plain of western branch of Jingniang Lake; along Jingniang gorge and Songzu gorge you can see “ Dressing Table”, “ Rock for Putting Dresses”; in the scene of “ Yunya Qizhi”, you can enjoy the original handwriting of Zha Kuangyin engraved by the offspring on the cliff.
