Handan Congtai Wine, Handan

Handan was the capital of Country Zhao in Warring States time, when “Congtai”-- the imperial park was built for Emperor Zhao Wuling to drink, seek pleasure and enjoy dancing performance. Thus it got this name and has had a history of over 2000 years. In the history, the emperors as well as generals and ministers in the previous dynasties, and also scholars and poets had ever came here, climbing on the stage and drinking while composing poems, such as the famous poets in Tang Dynasty (618-907) Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, they all leaving the eternal poetic creation for praising Handan here.
