Quyang abounds in marbles. As early as the Han Dynasty, the handicraftsmen here engraved the stone artworks. In the Tang Dynasty, the stone carving works flourished. The Quyang stone carving is delicate in texture, vivid in images, smooth in design. The works of stone carvings include the ones of buildings and craftworks which contain a variety of objects: flowers, grasses, insects, and fishes. They are very popular with people.Representative works: the relieves in the Monument to the People's Heroes in front of Tian An Men Square, and the stone carvings in the Imperial Palace and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall
