The No.1 City Under Heaven

The No.1 City under Heaven is situated in An’ping Town, Xian ghe County. It is an archaized architectural complex which imitates the style of Beijing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and has the essences of Huaxia Culture. It is separated into two parts: inner city and outer city, occupying an area of 1,330,000 square kilometers. The city wall of the outer city is over 5 kilometers according to the shape and scale of Beijing city proper in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and was built in proportion as its original one. There are 22 city gate towers planned to construct, among which Yongding Gate and other tens of Gates have been built.

The No.1 City under Heaven is consisted of one center, five scenic areas and eighty-eight scenic spots. It is the largest modern tourist area in China. It is a unity of history and reality, the classic and the modern, the court and the folk, education and entertainment, sense and sensibility. It opened its business on April, 28^th, 1998.and many visitors from all directions have visited here.

The No.1 City under Heaven imitates the shape and scale of Beijing City in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Beijing City in the Ming and Qing Dynasties is the representative of capitals in China and acknowledged as a famous historical city in the world. Formerly it was impregnable and frightening, while as the years slipped by, now it has changed beyond recognition. It is a pity of history. But the No.1 City under Heaven will inherit the custom of ancient Beijing City and rebuild 10 li city wall on the base of shortening the length of city wall to restore its original appearance. It is breath-taking looking far away. If you stand on the top of the city wall, thinking or looking far away, it seems as if a symbol of war comes into your eyes and the noises of war drums come into your ears.

The biggest feature here is to emphasis the concept of culture, popular art and elegant art combined organically. There are royal court performances, folk flower fair, modern singing and dance, different literary performances matching their proper theme parks. Solemn royal Open-the-city ceremony is put on in the square in front of the city every morning. A son of Heaven, leading valiant the "Eight Banners”, court-dressed nobles and chancellors and beauties in the palace, goes out of the city to welcome visitors; Levee is performed in Zhangdaguangming Palace every day; It is a great joy to take part in folk flower fair in the square in front of the city. The No.1 City under Heaven has its unique features.

If you are in Beijing and have a car, you can drive your car along the express highway from Beijing to Shenyang and turn off the express highway in Xianghe exit, and then drive into the highway from Xiadian to An’ping and continue driving about 12 kilometers in the southwest direction, and then get to the destination; If you set off from Tianjin, you can drive along the Jingjintang Express Highway and turn off in Langfang exit, and then drive into the highway from Langfng to Xianhe and continue driving 30 kilometers in the northeast direction, and then get to the destination; If you are in Beijing Railway Station, you can take bus No.938 in the Eastern Street to the No.1 City Under Heaven directly; And you can also take a bus from Langfang to Xianghe in Langfang Bus Station.
