Funing Nandaihe International Entertainment center

Funing Nandaihe International Entertainment Center is a large scale state-owned tourist center. It is composed of four units: the Ocean Amusement park, Fairy Shell Island, Amusement Park on the Sea, and Nandaihe Hotel.

The entertainment center is based around the Ocean Amusement Park and where there are more than 30 attractions, such as grass sliding, sightseeing cable cars, bumper boats, etc. They have both thrilling and humouros attractions, with something for everyone.

Nandaihe International Entertainment Center has beautiful natural views, surrounded by forests and facing the sea. Inside the Entertainment Center there are also other landscapes, such as Chinese Lotus Garden, Journey to the West Palace, Locust Flower Lake, and The Amusement Park.

The Chinese Lotus Garden is build in traditional architecture with emphasis on folk customs and traditions of the water region south of the Yangtze River . It is one of Chinas largest center for growing lotus flowers, with a pool of 400 000 square meters containing more than 300 breeds of lotus flowers.

From Qinhuangdao or Beidaihe the most convenient way is to take a taxi. You can also take bus No. 34 or bus No. 6 to the terminal stop, then change to bus No. 22 and get off at the stop "Journey to the West Palace", after that you can take a mini bus to Nandaihe International Entertainment Center.

1. Transportation inside the entertainment center: Since the center covers a large area, there are different vehicles such as small electric trains, cars and boats for you to ride instead of walking.

2. The best visiting time: The period from the middle ten days of July to the first ten days of September is the best time to visit here. During this period, there will be the national lotus flower exhibition held in Nandaihe International Entertainment Center.

3. Food: There are many shops and fishing villages providing meals and drinks. Besides, there are barbecue restaurants with local snacks.

4. Shopping: All the shopping places or stalls within the scenic area uses fixed prices with clearly marked price tags. However, the stalls and shopping places outside of the scenic area gate is not managed by the scenic area administration center, and you should be careful not to be cheated. In the scenic area you can buy the usual tourist souvenirs, such as embroideries, sun umbrellas, and small fans.

5. Lodging: There is the Water Country Manor within the area to provide you with lodging facilities. They have standard rooms and suites ranging from 280 yuan to 880 yuan in price. The price will be a little higher during the peak season, i.e. from 10 July to 25 August. There are also comparatively cheap tourist hotels which will provide you with four bed rooms and standard rooms, with the price ranging up to 200 yuan, with prices that differs with the season.

6. Admission: Amusement park on the sea: 32 yuan per person; Fairy Shell Island: 32 yuan per person (if you want to take the sightseeing boat to watch the fishermen’s work, you must add 13 yuan); The Journey to the West Palace: 15 yuan per person; Amusement Park: 10 yuan per person. Other attractions in the area like the roller coasters, bumper cars etc. sell tickets separately.
