Qinhuangdao Wildlife park

Qinhuangdao wildlife park covers an area of more than 300 hectares. It ranks number one in our country for its broad layout area, the forest coverage ratio, and its charming and picturesque environment. It is one of the national 4A level tourist scenic spots, which has received numerous state leaders such as the president Hu Jintao, Premier Zhu Rongji and Lipeng for inspection.

Qinhuangdao wildlife park adopts the modes of free ranging animals in large stall barns and free ranging different animals in different areas. By imitating the original living environment of different kinds of animals, the unique natural conditions within the park has created a paradise-like home for all the animals to live and rest. At present, there are about 4,000 of animals in more than 100 different breeds. They come from different parts of the world, including the elephants and red-crowned cranes from Asia, the giraffes, zebras, and lions from Africa, the tigers from America, and the kangaroos from Australia.

According to different nature and living habits of different animals, they have built more than 20 animal exhibition areas within the wildlife park, such as the lion garden, the tiger garden, white tiger garden, bear garden, jaguar garden, lionet garden, African scenery garden, monkey garden, kangaroo garden, herbivore area, wading bird lake, and peacock garden, etc. Besides, there are also other scenic spots like the animal performance field, the Cocoto car racing field, lover’s lake, and Spring garden, so on and so forth.

There are different means of sightseeing within park, you can look around on foot, take the small Train s in the forest, or drive your private cars to view the scenes. However, walking tour is only limited to the walking sightseeing area, and you must take the tourist cars to look around in the savage beast area, thus forming a unique and vivid picture of “beasts watching people in the car” instead of the previous “people watching beasts in cages”.
