Ten Thousand Buddha Park

Ten Thousand Buddha Park Scenic Spot is a large ancient-style garden, mainly displaying Buddhist culture, in which there are 10,000 jade or gold Buddha sculptures. It has combined Chinese 5000-year culture with Buddhism, Taoist, Confucius cultures and modern garden art. It’s a fantastic place in which you can enjoy both artificial and natural sights and study the culture.

The scenic spot has ten more unique landscapes, among which the famous Golden Tower cost over 100 million yuan. It is a 22-storey building, covering an area of more than 10000 m², in which there are 9999 gold Buddha sculptures made of 2600 liang (1 liang =37.5 g) gold and on top of which there are the Buddha relics of the Sixth Panchen. Besides, the Three Buddhas (Buddhas of the past, present and future) scriptures made of 650 liang gold and 4000 liang silver, the jadeite Goddess of Mercy with the height of 1.9 m and the weight of 1.6 ton as well as other unique treasures have made the park an important saint Buddha scenic spot.

The Ten Thousand Buddha Park has ten most famous landscapes and nine unique treasures. The ten most famous sights include Xiaojing Steles, Geomantic Stone Balls, Palace of Eternal Youth, Twelve Zodiacs, Golden-river Bridge, Eight Shanshi Towers (recording the devotions of Buddha Shakyamuni), Freeing Animal Land, Longfu Pavilion, Tangshan Earthquake Museum, The 29^th Division Monument. The most nine unique treasures include the shadow screen wall of Xiaojing, the royal treasure lands, stone sculptures of the twelve zodiacs, eight Buddha towers, gigantic gold Buddha sculptures, wood carvings in the palaces, the memorial tablets for people died in the earthquake, and relics of resisting-Japanese-aggression heroes.
