Chinese wolfberry in Julu County, Xingtai

Julu county, located in the Heilong Port basin, is a main county where Chinese wolfberries are produced in Hebei province, the yield of which in Julu is one fourth of the national whole output. Every part of Chinese wolfberry is of high value: its fruit is rich in sugar and of high nutritious value; the root skin is also called the bony skin of the field. It can lower the pulmonary internal heat and fade the abnormal fever and it is thus indicated for many symptoms, such as pulmonary heat and cough, upset and thirst, haemoptysis etc. Besides, the fruit of the Chinese wolfberries can be eaten raw as nourishing food.
