Zhangjiakou City, about 180 kilometers from downtown Beijing, share borders with Beijing, Shanxi Province, and Inner Mongolia. Zhangjiakou city is nicknamed as " Mountain City north of the Great Wall" due to its rolling land formation. It governs four districts and 13 counties, with total area about 37.000 sq. km. The population of Zhangjiakou City is about 4.5 million.
Zhangjiakou is easy to accessible because the developed transportation network consisting of railways, highways. Fourr railways: the Jingbao(Beijing to Baotou), Fengsha(Beijing to Shacheng), Daqin(Qinghuangdao to Dalian) pass through the city. Expressways connect Zhangjiakou with Beijing and many other places in China. There is a special bus service commuting between Beijing and Zhangjiakou City
