Western Snake Lantern, Hefei

Western Snake Lantern has a long history of more than several hundreds years up to now, which is unique traditional lantern in Dashao Nature Village, Xieji Town, Feidong County. They put on performances in Hefei and Dianbu since The First Lantern Festival in Luzhou. Then they were brought to the stage of the provincial capital three times and Feidong County twice. It walks from remote villages to prosperous cities, from threshing grounds to huge stages of gymnasiums. All people in the village set off firecrackers in order to give a reception in honor of it and give a dinner of welcome in “Old Big Gate” of Surname Shao every time when it come back.
