Introduction:
It was built in 1684 (the 23rd governing year of emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty). It’s a brick and timber building with the features of Qing Dynasty, combining two temples—the western temple and the eastern temple. It covers an area of 4000 square meters and boasts the main structures namely Main Palace, Bai Palace, Yao Palace, and Gong Palace and other subordinated structures. The tower top of Yao Palace of Eastern temple inlays a golden gourd with a height of 1.9m and a diameter of 0.9m, which is enchased by a decoration like a tilted Crescent, the symbol of Islamism. On the inner wall of Yao Palace, there is written version of Chants of Koran in Arabic. Two Main Palaces can hold 500 worshipers every time. As one of the largest well-preserved temples of Heilongjiang Province, Buqui Mosque is valuable to the research of religion history and architecture art. It is placed on the list of the cultural relics under provincial protection.
