The Museum of Emperors Chariot Drawn by Six Horses of Zhou Dynasty covers an area of over 1700 square meters which is divided into two quarters. When you enter the gate, you are in the first exhibition quarter where there are altogether four parts .One is the map of the five cities and the interrelated positions with Luoyan of today; the second is the brief introduction of the imperial city of East Zhou Dynasty; the third part is the exploration and discovery of the imperial mausoleum; the last one is the precious relics of the East Zhou Dynasty. After visiting the first section, you may reach the second one by walking through a passage in the west, and the second one is the large pit where many imperial carriages and horses were buried. Two pits of the seventeen ones unearthed by the archaeologists during 2002 and 2003 are displayed. One of them on the north is 42.6 meters long and 7.4 in width, with a scale even hardly ever seen in our country. What should be noted is the array of two lines of carriages, looking just like the marching parades. The most notable one is the discovery of the only "Jialiu", which means a carriage drawn by six horses. It provides evidence for the saying that the Emperor riding the Jialiu (the six-horse -drawn carriage) written in the historical documents. And this is also the only place where the Jialiu (the six-horse -drawn carriage) is exhibited at the place where it is excavated.
