Frost beaten bun enjoys a high fame in Chuanghuan county, which is the home of the cooks of China. It is a traditional folk dish of Chuanghuan county, and has been included into the “Cuisines of Chinese Famous Dishes”. It is rather easy to cook since the materials are much simple and common, almost every cook in Changhuan can cook it, just different in their cooking methods. The decisive point in cooking this dish is to boil sugar, immediately after the syrup wraps the bun and becomes hard, shovel them for several times quickly and remove them from the pan, so that the color would be whiter. This dish is widely popular favored by people from every walks of life, and it can also been served on those civil and highbrow banquets, so it is a dish suits both refined and popular tastes.

Characteristics of the dish: It is crispy in the outside, but soft and refreshing in the side, appearing as if it were beaten by frost.
