Lying in the North Hulun Road, New Town, Hohhot, the Inner Mongolia Racecourse is the largest and the best racecourse. Inside there are different racetracks, including barrier racetracks, hippodrome and standard circle racetracks, which allow different competitions at the same time.
The rostrum and the audience stands are in the eastern side, which is a building of 275 meters long and 36 meters high. On the top part stand five yurt-like buildings, with one bigger than the rest four. The complex has 12 VIP lounges, 2 gymnasiums, 45 rooms for sportsmen, meeting room, recreation room and exhibition hall. The whole racecourse can accommodate 100 thousand audiences at the same time.
Tourists can enjoy a series of fabulous traditional sports programs from the Inner Mongolia Horse Show Team, including gymnastics on horseback, chopping and cutting on horse, shooting on horseback, archery on horseback and horse racing. So far the Inner Mongolia Racecourse has become a major racecourse around the world.
