Located at the south of the Old City of Hohhot, Niu Street also is known as "Mosque Snacks Street' because there is a mosque not far away. There are many small restaurants located in this street; some are a hundred years old inns.

Here, you can enjoy almost all the local snacks including Shaomai, Naked Oat Flour, Phoenix's Tail Cling to Facai and others. And you can also have the chance to taste the Genghis Khan roasted meat on an iron plate, Mutton fondue, many meat dishes and drinks, which are characterized by their strong local flavors. These snacks and dishes are very delicious but not very expensive. Food is the most priority of people. You should not miss this street when you are traveling in Hohhot.
