Chi Lin Nunnery, built in 1936, is the world’s largest wooden architectural complex following the traditional Tang-style architecture, which is elegant and solemn, covering a total area of over 30,000 square meters. It’s designed by historic building architects from mainland China, Hong Kong and Japan. In 1989, Chi Lin Nunnery was renovated, and the renovation lasted for 10 years. After renovation, there have been a series of new buildings, including assembly hall, outdoor theatre, Buddhist temple complex, park and some special skill Train ing schools.
