Strolling through the flower markets after a New Year’s Eve dinner is one the must-dos on a Hong Kong Chinese New Year activity list. In total fourteen open air flower markets are held from the 25th day of the 12th month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar to the eve of Chinese New Year, lasting for six days. Among them, the flower markets held at Victoria Park and Fa Hui Park are the largest in scale and the most festive.
You should not miss a flower market visit during the Chinese New Year holiday. You will easily get into the spirit of Chinese New Year when almost all Hong Kong people send their night at the festive flower markets joyfully. Moreover the Chinese New Year in 2010 and the Valentine’s Day are the some day, which adds some romantic atmosphere o the traditional festive.

Best Time to Visit: 18:00pm to 21:00pm. It will reach a climax on Chinese New Year’s Eve (February 2) and the opening hour will last to 3:00am (February 3).
