Zhijiang Airport is located at Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County, Hunan Province, 35 kilometers to Huaihua city. It was reopened to air traffic on Dec. 19th, 2005. There are scheduled Flights to Changsha and Guangzhou every week.

Huaihua city has been called “the city drawn by train”. Yunnan – Guizhou railway, Yidu ( Hubei ) – Liuzhou ( Guangxi ) railway and Chongqing – Huaihua railway (under construction) pass Huaihua. In Huaihua area, there are 11 cities, counties and regions have railway passed by, with a railway traffic kilometrage of 499 kilometers. There are passenger transport trains initiated at Huaihua to Beijing , Shanghai , Guangzhou , Shenzhen and Guiyang . Huaihua Marshalling Station (Huaihua South Station) is the ninth biggest marshalling station in China, with the cargo throughput ranking number nine in China. The new Huaihua marshalling station (Huaihua East Station) which is under construction would have higher cargo throughput. Nowadays, there are ten pairs of trains initiated or terminated at Huaihua Station and 13 pairs of trains passing Huaihua Station.
