The Wuhan International Horse Race Festival is hosted by Wuhan Municipal People’s Government. It’s a large celebration held in the city. It aims at making all the people in the world know Wuhan and creating a good image in the world. It takes horse race as the lead and horse as the subject. The national culture and the horse culture are complementary to each other. It makes sports, tourism and culture blend into one body. It combines the high-level sports event and the national art in one. It has a profound effect on promoting the horse race, spreading the horse culture and developing China’s horse industry. It will make Wuhan become the capital of modern Chinese horse race again.
A series of matches are held during the festival, such as, the Equestrian Interesting Performance, the International Horse Race Invitational Tournament, the China Open Horse Race Championship, etc.. The grand Horse Culture Development Forum is also held during the festival. At that time, the International Equestrian Federation and the Asian Equestrian Federation all will send members to take part in it.
