Brief Introduction of the city
Located in the mid-north part of Hunan Province, Yiyang city stretches across the lower reaches of Zishui River and Yuaanhuang River, with the Xuefeng Mountain Extension stands behind her. The city has an area of 12133sq km and a population of 4.36million. It was reestablished as Yiyang Municipality at county level in Mar. 7th 1994 upon the approval of the State Council. The new Yiyang currently has jurisdiction over Yuanjiang city, Nan County, Peach Blossom River County, Anhua County, and newly established Ziyang District and Heshan District.
Yiyang, boosting convenient geographic transportation, is the commodity distribution center, through which Zishui River flows through and converges with Dongting Lake to the rivers and seas.
