Large Tangerine, Orange, Jiangmen

Large tangerines and oranges are the main commercial crops in Jinmen City, and the famous variety is Xinhui Dongjia Sweet Orange (Huashenzi) which owns sweet flavor and rich fragrance. Large tangerines (Chazhi Orange) in Xinhui have rich syrup and red skin which is the Pericarpium in the Chinese traditional medicine. And the pericarpium is very useful to relieve cough and reduce sputum. The oranges usually come into market in moon year, and they attract people’s attention because it means luck. In recent years, the people in Xinhui popularize sweet orange (Yanshan Orange) with big shape, more syrup, and sweet flavor which will reap in about midwinter and be widely welcome by people.
