Located in Xingdong County, Tongzhou City, and 18 kilometers away from the city center in the northeast, Nantong airport has a coverage of 1,700 mu, which was set up in 1992 and came into service in the following year.
With the building area of 6,000 sq. m., its departure hall can contain an annual passenger flow volume of 240,000 and a peak hour passenger flow volume of 250. Modern architecture techniques of front rank and simple layer flow path applied and grey tile and knee roof of Nantong country style taking in, the hall is locally characterized. Buses to the airport are available in the ticket office of civil aviation at No.9, Mid Renmin Road.
At present, only airplanes to Beijing (everyday) and Guangzhou (on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) are available in Nantong airport. Airplanes to other destinations are in service either in Nanjing airport or Shanghai airport.
