Also called Wutong Alley in the Qin Dynasty, it was a birthplace of the Conqueror Xiang Yu, the leader of the insurgents in the Han Dynasty, an outstanding military commander without political expertise. The ancestors erected a tablet in memory of him. In 1935, Yingfeng pavilion and Huaian pavilion were built. Covering an area of 0.5 hectare, the Native Place of Xiang Yu is surrounded by 400 meters long courtyard wall made of green bricks. From South to north, the building complex consists of a stone memorial gateway, gate, Yingfeng pavilion, Xiang Yu memorial hall and Yuji memorial hall.
