The ancient street went through the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It retains its original appearance, which is simple and unsophisticated, elegant with another flavor. In the center of the street there is the well preserved Gujin ferry where Marco Polo went ashore. Wandering on the ancient street, you will find the style of the buildings in ancient times and capture the living scent of modern ordinary citizens. Hansuyin, a famous British Chinese female writer, named this street of Zhenjiang “a Natural Historical Museum” and “a Tourist Gold Mine”.
