Zhenjiang Highway
Edition HistoryEdit Zhenjiang Highway
HighwayThe national highway artery within the borders has a length of 71.27 kilometers, for which Zhenjiang heads first among six large and medium-sized cities along the railway line and which is one third of the whole section of Jiangsu Province. Zhenjiang City is crisscrossed by two highways, of which the horizontal Huning highway may get directly to the Guangtang Bridge in the south of the urban areas by way of the Zhejiang branch railway and the vertical Yangli highway connects Zhenjiang and Yangzhou closely together through the Runyang and Changjiang Bridges, and runs southward and intersects with Huning highway. After reconstruction the national highway runs through the city from the east to the west and shunts the busy traffic on the Huning highway.
There are four coach stations in the urban areas of Zhenjiang, of which the most important one is Zhenjiang Highway Passenger Transport Center on the east side of the railway station. Most of the long-distance shuffle buses and Kuaile (express coach) start from this station.
