Jiexiu has been hailed “the passage between Shaanxi and Shanxi”, which is an important traffic hub of the hinterland of Shanxi. The southern Tongpu Railroad line, the Qilin superhighway, Dayun national highway and Dongsha national highway all pass through Jiexiu. Roads in side of the city extend in all directions connecting the national highways.
