Jinghai sea area in Huilai County is the home of the abalone, which is famous in China. This sea area is a neritic area. There are a range of reefs. The sea is rough. There is no fresh water flowing into the sea area in large quantities. The saltiness of the sea water is very high. It’s quite fit for the growth of the alga which is abalone’s main food. The Jinghai sea area is an excellent sea area for the growth of the abalone. Jinghai abalone is small while delicious. It’s one of eight treasures among all marine products. It can be eaten after being cooked or dried. Chaozhou dish, Boiling Abalone in Clear Soup, is a good dish at the feast. Choose Jinghai abalone as the main material and it tastes more delicious. Abalone’s shell can be used for medicine. It has the functions of removing heat from the liver and improving acuity of vision.
