Shandong Opera and Dance Drama Theater, Jinan

Built in 1958, the Shandong Opera and Dance Drama Theater was previously known as the Shandong Song and Dance Ensemble. During those decades, it has put on stage a large number of famous operas, dramas and dance-music performance with rich local flavors, such as Three Major Schools of Yangge Dance, Making Shoes for the Army, Drum and Wind Music of Shandong in 1960s, Song of the Tai Mountain, Shandong Yangge Dance Gathering, flute solo Desire in 1980s, and Music and Dance of Confucius Family in 1990s.

Now the theater owns many outstanding artists renowned at home and abroad. They have visited more than 30 countries and regions of Asia, Africa, America and Australia, winning their warm welcome by accomplished native art and professional performing skills.
