Maixilaifu, Karamayi

Among the Uygur people, there is a kind of amusement form that combines singing and dancing with folk amusement. It is called “ Maixilaifu” by the people. There are no limitations on the number of the people who join in Maixilaifu. Maixilaifu is generally held in festivals, on holidays or at dusk. People gather together. They sing, play all kinds of musical instruments, perform acrobatics and gramary and dance. Everybody can appear on the stage and give a performance.
