Xinglong Mountain

With 70 ancient temples and pavilions and 24 scenic spots scattered all over the moutain, Xinglong Mountain has become one of the resorts of Buddhism and Taoism.

There are two main peaks, the eastern peak and the western one. The eastern peak, Xinlong, is reaching for 2400 meters above the sea level while the western one, Qiyun, with an elevation of 2500 meters. Between the two peaks is the Xinglong Canyon, across which standing the Cloud Dragon Bridge. There are Hunyuan Pavilion, Facing Clouds Taoist Temple and Thunder Hall standing on the Xinlong peak while Two Immortal Terrace, Taibai Spring, Budhha Hall, Pine Pavilion and Droping Tears Pavilion on the Xinglong Peak.

The Xinglong Mountain is only 5 km southwest of the Yuzhong County, 60 kilometers away from Lanzhou city.

How to get there:

You may take the public bus or the chartered bus to go to the Xinglong natural preservation zone.

Tips:

1.You may try delicious hand-made slice noodles in the restaurant on top of the mountain. Especially in the cold days, trying a bowl of hot noodle soup with potato and beef will leave you an unforgettable memory.
