The kudzuvine powder is purely white, thick, transparent and very sticky. It has the effects of clearing the throat of phlegm, relieving a cough and relaxing the blood vessels. Therefore, it is an excellent tonic food for elderly people. The kudzuvines can be found all over the Yuntai Mountain. It grows in cracks of the rock and on steep cliffs and slopes, and blooms in autumn. In late autumn, the farmers on the mountain dug up the rootstocks of kudzuvines, which are made into kudzuvine powder after being rinsed, dried in the sun, retted and precipitated.
